Food for Cats

Cats No Comments

Just like dogs, cats are not supposed to eat human food, but are supposed to eat cat food. Some particular human foods are more dangerous to cats than others. Apples,Apricots, Cherries, Peaches and Plums are all dangerous to cats. Eating too many stems, leaves, or seeds of these fruits could harm any cat.The signs or toxicity from this are apprehension, dilated pupils, difficulty breathing, hyperventilation and shock.

Signs of toxicity include tremors, seizures, nervous system abnormalities or death

Milk is not recommended to be given to adult cats because of most being lactose-intolerant and having problems digesting it. However if your cat likes it, the milk could be replaced with cream. Cream has less lactose in it then whole or skim milk.

One type of cat food that I would suggest is Nature’s Best cat food. This cat food is all natural and has great flavors for your cat, that your cat will enjoy eating while staying healthy!

Choosing the Best Cat Bed

Cats No Comments

Sure that the tiger print fluffly mat looks adorable but have you ever thought about if you cat will like it? Think about how hot your cat would be in it and how scratchy it may be. When buying a bed for your cat you really need to actually take into consideration about if your cat would actually like using it.

Some thing you need to take into consideration is the Material the bed is made out of. If you have a cat that has lots of fur, you may want to get a bed with not a lot of fuzz on it. I you have a cat that has little or no fur you could get away with a nice bed with fuzz, because then your cat would like the extra warmth.

Another thing to take into consideration is the size and shape.  You need to make sure that your cat is going to be  able to fit in the bed. You might not want to get your big oval cat a small square bed. My guess would be that your cat would completely ignore the bed or be in it half out half in.

You need to think about how long it would be able to last in your house. If you have a kitten or a cat that scratches up everything in its path, I would not suggest getting a expensive pretty bed. Instead I would suggest a warm, old blanket intill you can get them to stop destroying everything.  For old or very well behaved cats you could probably get away with a nice expencive bed, because then it would last a lot longer then with another cat that destroys everything.
